Lovely meringues!

I have learned that there is a difference between meringues and meringues! It is said that meringues originate from the town of Merringen in Switzerland. The meringues available to buy are pretty dull in my opinion. It is quite easy to make meringues yourself so why buy?
Use areas for meringues are many, I myself like to make meringues and serve it with ice cream or gelato. Simply put, your own imagination is the limit 😊

Anna´s Budapest roll

Our kids were coming over for Easter and I wanted to make some Gelato, after making the Gelato I had many egg whites left, I know that you can freeze the egg whites but I came to think of Budapest roll which is a Swedish cake and not Hungarian as one might think. The creator is said to be Ingvar Strid who was a confectioner from Vetlanda, the reason why he called it Budapest roll remains a mystery. Wonderful Zucchini cake


 

Carrot cake is a favorite in our household, but I thought we needed to renew ourselves. Had a big Zucchini at home and wanted to do something about it. Zucchini burgers of course but the zucchini I had at home was big enough to do something more with it. I decided to make a zucchini cake. One might think it’s strange to have vegetables in cakes but I guarantee – you will just love this cake.

The recipe is a combination of my recipe for carrot cake, gingerbread and some additional stuff. You will not regret making this delicious cake, I promise you!  The cake is moist and durable.
