In our household, we most certainly make a lot of Persian food, but also real old-fashioned Swedish food. My mother-in-law used to make this dish that is both simple and delicious. For me, this is a winter dish. Our children love farmers gravy and the eldest son has developed his own recipe for it. I just wanted to commemorate my mother-in-law by making the dish today.
Some also call it onion gravy, some use thick bacon but we prefer thinly sliced bacon instead. Continue reading “Farmers gravy – as Swedish as it can be!”
On Saturday I was craving something with carrots – it had to be careless! Amazingly easy to do and sooooo good! The autumn is here now and that’s the time when it is really tasty and comforting to enjoy different kind of soups. This wonderful butternut soup has a Persian touch (lemon zest, lemon juice, ground cumin etc). Incredibly tasty I must say. Continue reading “Persian inspired Butternut soup!”

My dear niece Shirin with family has a summer cottage in Getryggen in the region of Hälsingland, Sweden, a wonderful place where visitors can fully charge their batteries! This is the place where you just do whatever you want.
We gathered there to celebrate Kahan (nephew) and Tina (his wife) who together became 100 years! I made the dinner and Shirin made the salad dressing that was incredibly good! Asked to get the recipe of course!

My daughter-in-law Anna is allergic to all fruits with kernel and nuts in general. In other words, there are few if any Granola Bars that she can eat., so I decided to make Granola Bars that she actually can eat. Continue reading “Anna´s Granola Bar”
