There are few things that most Iranian household always have at home. Dates and walnuts are among these ingredients. I saw a TV program where they made a date cake and got very inspired to do my own version. Here is my interpretation. I ordered party food for my brother in law from a place called Ingelsta Kalkon here in Sweden, everything is made out of Turkey. They had some twirls that were incredibly delicious. I exchanged recipes with the company, they received a recipe from me and I was told how the twirls were made, but no measure. Now I’ve tested it several times and it just gets better and better.

She loves these twirls and I make it for her every time they come for a visit 😊 Continue reading “Tasty twirls!”

Took some with me when I visited my brother in law who is 95-year-old and who is quite picky when it comes to food. He gave me feedback that I should add a little more acidity in the pie. I myself thought that I needed some crunchiness in the pie as well. Continue reading “My Persian-Greek Spinach Pie”
